Restaurantier and chef Skye Gyngell has died aged 62, following a battle with a rare form of skin cancer. In a moving statement, her heartbroken family confirmed: “We are deeply saddened to share news of Skye Gyngell's passing on 22nd November in London, surrounded by her family and loved ones.” They added: “She leaves behind a remarkable legacy and is an inspiration to us all.” In 2024, Gyngell was diagnosed with Merkel cell carcinoma, which is a rare and fast-growing skin cancer.
