KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (WVLT) -Patchy fog gives way to a mix of sun and clouds to kick off the holiday week.

MONDAY: Mild in the afternoon with temperatures in the middle 60s. We will have a mixture of sun and clouds through the day with rain chances increasing late Monday night.

TUESDAY: We wake up Tuesday morning with widespread rain and a few embedded thunderstorms. This rain looks to be pretty slow moving, so we could pick up an inch of rain across the area through Wednesday morning. The rain looks to be become more scattered through the late afternoon and evening hours with more rain lingering into the Wednesday morning. Highs will be in the middle 60s.

WEDNESDAY: Rain lingers in the morning with gradual clearing in the evening. Highs will be in the low 60s.
