A convicted Texas bank robber has been arrested for trying to rob the same bank that led to him being locked up in federal prison for nearly a decade.

Christopher McKay, 43, allegedly stormed into a Fort Worth Wells Fargo at around 10 a.m. on Thursday, threatening employees that he was armed with a handgun and demanding money, the Fort Worth Police Department said in a press release.

However, his heist did not go as planned, and he fled on foot without any cash, police said.

Officers swarmed the area and arrested him nearby after the failed robbery.
