NEW ORLEANS — A 22-year-old New Orleans man died early Sunday after he was struck while standing outside his vehicle on the Crescent City Connection, Louisiana State Police said.
Troopers responded shortly before 3 a.m. to the multi-vehicle crash on US 90B in the HOV lanes of the bridge. According to State Police, Logan York was driving a Toyota Camry westbound when it collided with a Volvo S60, disabling both vehicles in the roadway.
Before emergency crews arrived, investigators say York got out of the Camry and attempted to flag oncoming traffic. He was hit by a Nissan Frontier traveling in the left lane.
York was taken to a hospital, where he later died. The Volvo driver and a passenger in York’s vehicle were taken to a hospital with minor injuries. The
