CARROLL COUNTY, Ind. — Police in Carroll County are investigating after a Delphi man was killed in a two-car crash Sunday afternoon.
The crash was reported around 1:45 p.m. Nov. 23 at the intersection of State Road 18 and US Highway 421 South Junction , around three miles west of Delphi.
The sheriff's office said a Ford pickup truck driven by a 19-year-old from Frankfort and Chevrolet SUV driven by a 73-year-old Delphi man "collided under circumstances that remain under investigation."
The driver of the Chevy SUV, identified by police as Thomas Martin, was pronounced dead at the scene. A 59-year-old passenger in the SUV was taken to a Lafayette hospital with unknown injuries.
The driver of the pickup truck was treated and released at the scene, police said.
The intersection was closed
