WHAM artists to sell their work at annual holiday fundraiser

WHAM Art Center announced the 12th Annual Bowls of Hope charity event is coming this week.

The art festival that unites local artists with the West Valley community to raise funds for those facing hunger and hardship, will be held from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 29 at 16560 N. Dysart Road.

This year, more than 500 handmade bowls were created through a true community collaboration — crafted and glazed by WHAM artists and talented volunteers from the Sun City and Sun City West Clay Clubs.

“Each bowl represents creativity and compassion,” WHAM Executive Director Connie Whitlock said.

The one-of-a-kind works of art are made with care and creativity to bring warmth into every home, Whitlock said, while helping feed families
