NFL veteran Kris Boyd, who was shot in New York earlier this month, provided an update on how he is doing on Sunday.

Boyd posted a story to his Instagram page of him holding his child’s hand from what appears to be a hospital bed.

The picture includes the caption: “Thank you God!! My son and daughter have their father!”

Kris Boyd of the New York Jets was shot last weekend in New York and taken to the hospital. He was in critical but stable condition following the shooting, according to CBS News .

The outlet reported that Boyd was shot in the abdomen at around 2 a.m. last Sunday morning.

The New York Post reported last week that Boyd was with fellow Jets players Jamien Sherwood and Irvin Charles when a brawl started outside of a restaurant and he was shot.
