MAUMEE, Ohio — The city of Maumee is looking to upgrade and modernize one of its most iconic and historic structures.
According to a Facebook post, the city is looking for consulting firms to help renovate, modernize and upgrade the Maumee Indoor Theatre. Upgrades would include a "comprehensive redesign" to "modernize the theatre's infrastructure and improve guest experience while maintaining historical integrity." On the project's webpage - located on the city's website - the city said the project will include historic design compliance - the theatre was built in 1946 and remains a registered Historic Landmark - restoring features, and updating the facility to meet modern accessibility and performance standards, the city said.
