Michigan gas prices rose 9 cents since last week, to $3.11 per gallon for regular unleaded, AAA - The Auto Group announced Monday.

The price is a penny more than a month ago and 9 cents above the same time in 2024, officials said.

Motorists in the state are paying an average of $46 for a full 15-gallon tank of gasoline, AAA reported.

Meanwhile, average gas prices in Detroit rose 3 cents in the last week, averaging $3.06 on Monday, according to GasBuddy's survey of 1,734 stations. GasBuddy reported prices are 4 cents higher than a month ago and 3 cents per gallon more than last year.

“Ahead of the peak of Thanksgiving travel, the national average has remained relatively steady, holding close to where it's been for the last few weeks,” said Patrick De Haan, head of petroleum analysis at
