CHARLOTTE, N.C. — A person was shot near Northlake Mall early Sunday morning in north Charlotte.

The shooting occurred on the 7000 block of Smith Corners Boulevard off Statesville Road.

The person was taken to the hospital with life-threatening injuries, Medic confirmed.
