MORGANTON, N.C. – A 31-year-old man turned himself in on Tuesday after being accused of stabbing a woman in the chest, according to the Burke County Sheriff’s Office.
On Sunday, officers responded to 3931 US 64 in regards to a domestic incident. Shortly after, deputies said they were advised that a woman had been stabbed in the chest.
Upon arrival, deputies said the witnesses identified the suspect as Stephen Bolick, who fled the scene on foot. Paramedics treated the victim for the stab wound and a laceration on her hand.
Bolick turned himself in on Nov. 25. He has been charged with assault with a deadly weapon inflicting serious injury and crime of domestic violence.
