BRYAN, Texas (KBTX) - Texas A&M forward Mackenzie Mgbako helped ensure 70 Brazos Valley families will have turkey on their Thanksgiving tables this year through a partnership with the Boys and Girls Club of the Brazos Valley.

The transfer student from Indiana University said giving back to his new community was important to him as he begins his time at A&M.

“It’s always amazing to get back to the community, even if I’m not from here, just helping out families in need,” Mgbako said.

For many families in the Brazos Valley, Thanksgiving can be a financially challenging time. Mgbako worked directly with the Boys and Girls Club to provide turkeys for those families this holiday season.
