Merseyside Police is appealing for the public's help to trace a 39-year-old man who is wanted on recall to prison. Jamie Downes is wanted on recall back to prison after he failed to adhere to his his licence conditions.

Downes was released from prison after serving a eight years and four months sentence for burglary. He was part of a Kirkby-based crime gang, that were sentenced to a total of 21 years in jail after admitting carrying out a series of burglaries and robberies.

The gang targeted commercial and residential addresses in a three month campaign. The four men appeared at Liverpool Crown Court and admitted to conspiracy to commit burglary, attempted robbery, and robbery.
