Parents are demanding a face-to-face meeting with education bosses after a protest against plans to hold English lessons for asylum seekers during class times.
As reported by our sister title The Glasgow Times , dozens of mums and dads gathered outside Dalmarnock Primary School on Monday to demonstrate over ‘safeguarding concerns’ after several decided to keep their kids away from morning lessons.
They say they acted over fears ‘unvetted individuals’ would be allowed to attend the lessons – but Glasgow City Council chiefs insist those signed up to the classes were already existing members of the school community.
