SANDUSKY, Ohio – Six Flags on Monday announced the appointment of a new president and CEO, who is charged with turning around the ailing amusement park company.
John Reilly is a veteran of the industry, most recently serving as chief executive officer of Pittsburgh-based Palace Entertainment U.S., the parent company of Kennywood and a dozen other parks. He is also group chief operating officer at Parques Reunidos, Palace’s Spain-based parent company.
According to a Six Flags press release, Reilly was “instrumental in improving guest satisfaction while driving margin expansion across the company’s properties in the U.S., Australia and Europe.”
