American Honda Motor Co. has recalled 256,603 Accord hybrids because the vehicles can lose power while in operation.
The recall is for certain 2023-2025 vehicles.
“Due to a software error, the integrated control module central processing unit may reset while driving, causing a loss of drive power,” Honda said in documents filed with the U.S. Highway Traffic Safety Administration.
As of Nov. 6, Honda said it has received 832 warranty claims related to the issue. There have not been any reports of injuries.
Dealers will reprogram the ICM CPU software at no cost.
