A metal band has parted ways with its lead singer after over a decade together.
This split appears to be amicable, and the singer has confirmed she’s continuing her career as a solo artist.
Blabbermouth.net reports that Arch Enemy — a 1990s-formed death metal group that hails from Sweden — confirmed that vocalist Alissa White-Glutz has left the band after 12 years.
“Arch Enemy have parted ways with singer Alissa White-Glutz,” a post published to the band’s Facebook page on Sunday reads. “We’re thankful for the time and music we’e shared and wish her all the best.
“Wherever there is an ending, there is also a beginning.”
White-Glutz shared her own statement confirming her departure on Instagram that same day.
