OMAHA, Neb. —
Trading in their stethoscopes and scrubs for pens and paper, students and staff at Nebraska Methodist College brainstorm ideas for picture books.
More than 20 people participated in a first-of-its-kind continued education workshop on Friday, to start the story writing process, but it's not for just any ordinary picture book. These books are all focused on varying health and wellness topics, aiming to help both children and adults.
"From our perspective, these books are strictly about making people feel more comfortable on health topics and really allowing them to see what's going to happen or see how these topics impact them and making them just feel a little bit better about some of the things that are sometimes scary," Jillian Krumbach said.
