Experts have warned that if you're a fan of prosecco or certain cocktails, you could be doing serious harm to one part of your body.
If you're partial to a glass of bubbly over the festive period - or indeed at any time of year - you might not realise the harm it could be inflicting on your pearly whites. According to dental expert Dr Murray Pratt of Forever Dental and Skin, certain popular beverages could be silently wreaking havoc on your smile.
The specialist warned that some drinks create "a perfect erosion combo", with prosecco emerging as one of the worst culprits thanks to its elevated acidity levels and substantial sugar content. "Prosecco is a very acidic drink - as are many white wines ," he said.
