A man who failed to withdraw cash from an ATM started shouting at shop workers and smashed a window when asked to leave, police said.

The man, who officers are looking for, went into a convenience store on Church Square in Hartlepool to use the cash machine on November 1, just before 5pm.

He failed to withdraw money and began shouting at staff, and when asked to leave reportedly banged on the counter. He then kicked a glass panel, smashing it, before leaving.

The man is described as 5ft 8in tall, of a slim build and aged around 25 years old. He has wavy hair and a fringe up to his eyebrows. He was wearing a black jacket, white t-shirt and dark bottoms.
