Rachel Evans from Canolfan Pentre says she wishes more people would go to them for help (Image: WalesOnline/Rob Browne)
"How's it going," I asked centre manager, Rachel as I get to her office on a random Monday in early November. "Fourteen schools, one hospital, one domestic violence refuge," she replies. "We've already had 90 requests from just three primary schools," she tells me.
This is the annual conversation we now have, when I ask Rachel how many requests for toys they've had, and how many our toy appeal can help with. It is our third year of helping Canolfan Pentre, a community centre in Rhondda , with our WalesOnline toy appeal.
Each year, we've been able to give them toys to distribute to kids who, there is no doubt, otherwise wouldn't get something on Christmas Day.
