The Orlando Police Department is investigating a shooting in the Washington Shores neighborhood Sunday night that left a man dead at his home.

Few details were released about the shooting and what investigators believed led to it. On Monday, OPD released the name of the victim as 42-year-old Brian Blackshear.

Officers responded to the house on the 3400 block of Columbia Street in southwest Orlando, where they found Blackshear lying shot on the ground, according to a statement sent to reporters. Blackshear was pronounced dead at the scene.

“This is all the information that we have at this time,” the statement read. “We do not have anything further to release.”
