The Toronto Raptors will be down a starter as they try to extend their win streak to eight.
The Raptors announced that RJ Barrett will miss Monday’s game against the Cleveland Cavaliers with a right knee sprain.
Barrett injured his knee in Sunday’s win over the Brooklyn Nets and was set to have an MRI on the injury. The injury occurred in the third quarter, when Barrett landed awkwardly after a breakaway dunk.
The Mississauga, Ont., native is averaging 19.4 points, 4.8 rebounds and 3.8 assists through 17 games this season.
The Raptors (12-5) will host the Cavaliers (12-6) Monday night on Sportsnet and Sportsnet+. Tip-off is set for 7 p.m. ET/ 4 p.m. PT.
