Workers uncover possible human skull encased in concrete at pier

1BOSTON, MA – Construction workers repairing the Black Falcon Terminal in South Boston’s Seaport made a grim discovery after finding what appears to be a human skull encased in concrete.

The find was reported as crews worked on a section of the pier’s aging infrastructure earlier this week.

Authorities confirmed that a forensic anthropologist is now examining the skull to determine whether it is human and, if so, how long it may have been buried within the structure.

The Massachusetts Medical Examiner’s Office said that if the remains are verified as human, investigators will return to the site to excavate more of the pier in search of additional evidence or remains.
