NEWARK, NJ – Police are asking for the public’s help identifying a suspect accused of slashing a man with a pocket knife during a violent encounter inside a parked car on Elm Street earlier this month.

According to Newark Public Safety officials, the incident happened around 4:52 a.m. on November 16 in the 200 block of Elm Street. The victim was sitting in his vehicle when two Hispanic males approached and asked for a ride. After the suspects offered the man beer, he allowed them into the car.
