SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (Dakota News Now) - A California man has been sentenced to 33 years in federal prison after leading a meth conspiracy in Sioux Falls for nearly five years.
Darrel Devorce, 56, was convicted on Conspiracy to Distribute a Controlled Substance and Conspiracy to Commit Money Laundering.
Devorce, a San Jacinto, CA native, will also face 10 years of supervised release, along with a fine.
“Devorce is a longtime meth dealer responsible for shipping that poison into South Dakota since at least 2018,” said U.S. Attorney Ron Parsons. “He will now be separated from the rest of society for most of the rest of his life.”
After an investigation, authorities learned that Devorce was responsible for running a large methamphetamine trafficking organization for nearly five years.
