A Greene County jury convicted a Catskill man of murder and attempted murder for a 2021 stabbing attack that left one man dead and another seriously injured.
Jeffrey Field was also found guilty of assault Monday, Nov. 24, in the August 2021 killing of Adam White and another man on Summit Avenue in the Village of Catskill.
Officers found both victims suffering from stab wounds on Aug. 22, 2021. White died at the scene, and the second victim was taken to Albany Medical Center with injuries to his back.
Greene County District Attorney Joseph Stanzione said the jury “paid strict attention to all of the details of the case and came to a proper verdict.”
He described the attack as “heinous crimes” and called Field "a vicious, evil person who has no regard for human life.”
Stanzione added that the prosecution will seek a life sentence.
