Alabama football has everything riding on the Iron Bowl this season. The Crimson Tide enters the Auburn game 9-2 on the season, and needs a win to make the SEC championship game and keep its College Football Playoff hopes alive.
That’s easier said than done. Weird things happen when the game is played at Auburn, and the Tigers are looking to gain bowl eligibility themselves.
Saturday’s Iron Bowl will be Kalen DeBoer’s first game as Alabama’s coach in Jordan-Hare Stadium. The Crimson Tide is coming off a 56-0 win over Eastern Illinois on Saturday, but dropped its most recent SEC game to Oklahoma.
On Monday, DeBoer is scheduled to speak with reporters in Tuscaloosa to preview the Auburn game. He’ll be joined by offensive coordinator Ryan Grubb and defensive coordinator Kane Wommack.
