A massage therapist in Hillsborough Township had his license temporarily suspended after being charged with sexual assault, authorities announced Monday, Nov. 24.
David Bittner was arrested in June and charged with sexual assault after he touched a woman in a sexual manner without her consent during a massage therapy session at the fitness center he worked at, Attorney General Matthew Platkin said.
Bittner's license is suspended pending the outcome of the case, Platkin said.
Following the indictment, Bittner placed under house arrest with an ankle monitor while he awaits trial, Platkin said.
Under the terms of the interim consent order, Bittner must immediately cease and desist from practicing massage and bodywork therapy in New Jersey, Platkin said. Bittner is also barred from entering the premises of his former employer during business hours when clients may be present, Platkin said.
