PHILADELPHIA − Eagles rookie safety Drew Mukuba suffered a broken leg late in the team's 24-21 loss to the Dallas Cowboys on Nov. 23.
The NFL Network was the first to report the news. Mukuba will likely have surgery on his leg, the report added. Eagles coach Nick Sirianni's press conference is coming up later on Nov. 24.
The prognosis is that his injury might not be season ending, although it will certainly lead to a stint on injured reserve, meaning that he'll have to miss at least four games.
Mukuba was the Eagles' second-round pick last spring, and became a starter at safety in Week 1. Buy Philadelphia Eagles tickets Need a news break? Check out the all new PLAY hub with puzzles, games and more!
