A little boy on a “magical” mission to run a mile a day for a children’s hospice in November broke down in tears after his nanna told him he’d smashed his £10,000 target.Emotional footage shows seven year old Noah Playforth given a hero’s welcome as he ran into his nanna’s arms, who told him: “You’ve done it!’

She showed the youngster the giant purple balloons saying £10,000 and the little boy from former mining town Maltby in South Yorkshire burst into tears. Noah - described as being “like a therapy dog” by his family - has been braving all conditions to raise money for ‘poorly children’ cheered on every day by locals.
