Two cruise ships had to delay their arrivals to Tampa on Monday due to dense fog impacting inbound vessels at the port.

Returning to Tampa after cruises to the Caribbean, the Margaritaville at Sea Islander and the Carnival Paradise were initially set to dock early in the morning.

Margaritaville at Sea said in a statement that the Islander’s arrival was delayed by at least six hours due to the weather-related conditions.

The company asked guests to delay their arrivals in Tampa, noting that further updates will be issued as more information becomes available.

“We thank you for your patience and understanding as we adjust for weather-related conditions and prioritize the safety of all guests and crew,” Margaritaville at Sea stated.
