The U.S. Supreme Court declined to hear an appeal from Trevor Murray, a former employee of Swiss bank UBS Group AG, who sought to reinstate a $1 million jury award he won in a whistleblower retaliation case.

Murray alleged he was fired by UBS in 2012 for reporting what he considered unlawful workplace conduct related to the bank’s compliance with securities laws.
