WALDORF, Md. — A Waldorf man is facing an array of felony charges – including murder – after medical professionals discovered severe injuries when they examined the remains of his infant daughter.
According to the Charles County sheriff’s office, officers responded to the 300 block of Barksdale Avenue in Waldorf on Sunday around 6:45 p.m. after a caller reported that an infant was not breathing.
The infant was taken to Charles Regional Medical Center, where she was pronounced dead on arrival.
Medical personnel reportedly discovered multiple fractures and other critical injuries when they examined the infant.
According to the sheriff’s office, investigators charged her father, 28-year-old Jordan Nathaniel Savoy of Waldorf, with murder, aggravated assault, and other offenses.
