INDIANAPOLIS — Online shopping giant Amazon plans to invest $15 billion in Indiana to build new data center campuses.
The plans include a $1 billion deal with NIPSCO , the power utility for most of northern Indiana, where Amazon will cover all of the costs to build out the 2.4 gigawatts of power the data centers will need.
Amazon says the projects will create 1,100 new high-skilled jobs, and promised more jobs in the "data center supply chain."
