CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCSC) — A man has been sentenced to life in prison after he killed another man in North Charleston more than three years ago.
Rigoberto Rojas-Santiago received a life sentence for the murder of 20-year-old Brihan Zuriel Martinez Calderon. The Honorable Thomas J. Rode sentenced Rojas-Santiago to the State Department of Corrections for the remainder of his natural life.
Murder captured on surveillance video
In November 2022, officers with the North Charleston Police Department responded to reports of a shooting in the 7800 block of Jean Rebault Drive.
Witnesses showed them a Ring camera video that captured the murder, but the suspect’s face was covered with a hood and his arm.
