LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WAVE) - A woman accused of killing her boyfriend in the Russell neighborhood appeared in court Monday morning.

Maria Swann is charged with murder. Louisville Metro Police say she shot and killed 27-year-old Isaiah Washington - at a home on Cedar Street just before nine Friday night.

Police say Swann and Washington were in a relationship and Swann admitted to firing at him while they were arguing.

During her arraignment, the judge set her bond at $250,000. She is due back in court on Dec. 4.
