COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (KKTV) - A man who was already in custody on unrelated charges is now facing a first-degree murder charge related to an April homicide in Colorado Springs, according to the Colorado Springs Police Department (CSPD).
Police responded to a shooting call in the 3700 block of Astrozon Boulevard, near Astrozon and South Academy Boulevard, at around 9 p.m. on April 1. Police said when they arrived on scene, they learned a victim of the shooting had been taken to the hospital.
Dispatchers received a call from the hospital shortly after that reporting that a shooting victim who had arrived from Astrozon Boulevard was there. That victim reportedly had at least one gunshot wound, and he was pronounced dead. He was identified the next day by the El Paso County Coroner’s off
