Tonight high pressure slides offshore, and that opens the door for a weak coastal trough to ride north along the coast by early Tuesday. Clouds will steadily increase overnight with lows in the 40s inland and 50s along the beaches.
Tuesday brings a warm, wetter setup. As the coastal low moves in, moisture builds, temperatures climb well above normal, and scattered showers plus a few isolated thunderstorms develop through the afternoon and evening. Most storms will stay below severe levels, but lightning and downpours are possible.
