LOUDON, Tenn. — Republic Services, a waste management company, donated 200 free Thanksgiving turkeys to families in Lenoir City and Loudon.

With Thanksgiving just days ago, families across East TN have a little less to worry about when it comes to putting food on their plates.

"We use the money to pay our bills, and with groceries being as high as they are, we don't have the extra money or income to afford it," Jessica Davis said. "This is actually very helpful and it's gonna make us a good meal and I'm just happy about bringing the family together."

Davis said without the free turkey distribution, she wouldn't have been able to afford a turkey this holiday season.
