KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (WVLT) - Rain will arrive late tonight with lows in the low to mid 50s. Winds will turn southwest at 5-10 mph in the Valley, but it will get very windy in the higher elevations by sunrise.
RAIN/STORMS TUESDAY: Pockets of heavy rain and storms will move through in the morning and again in the afternoon. Any storm could briefly become severe with high wind gusts or pea size hail, but overall risk is marginal. Highs will reach the mid 60s. Winds will be southwest at 10-20 mph with gusts over 40 mph in the mountains.
WEDNESDAY: A few showers in the morning with a mostly cloudy sky. It will be breezy and cooler with highs in the 50s for most areas. Lows will drop to freezing or below in most areas Wednesday night.
