MANATEE COUNTY, Fla. ( WWSB ) - Meals on Wheels PLUS of Manatee hosted its Food4Families Thanksgiving dinner giveaway to support families in need during the holiday season.

The Food Bank of Manatee, a program of Meals on Wheels PLUS of Manatee, held a free Thanksgiving meal distribution that provided families with a frozen turkey and additional items to prepare a holiday meal at home.

Suncoast communities offer free Thanksgiving meals and more for the holiday season

The event took place Nov. 24 at Dream Church and operated as a limited-contact drive-thru to help ensure a safe and healthy holiday.
