SANTA FE, N.M. —

A planned and approved micro shelter community for unhoused people in Santa Fe has been delayed.

This comes amid ongoing permit and zoning questions being raised. Santa Fe City Council approved the housing project, which looks to house up to 60 people in the 30 to 40 units located in Santa Fe city limits after being approved in June.

Officials are beginning to seek community engagement to address resident concerns and move the plan through the state permitting process. That feedback will be gathered over several months beginning in November.
