A 27-year-old Bergen County restaurant worker is facing charges on accusations she stole nearly $800 from her employer, authorities said.

Police began an investigation into the thefts from Stone and Rail in Glen Rock's Central Business District nearly two months ago, Police Chief Dean Ackermann said on Monday, Nov. 24.

Brooklyne Young-Davis, of Elmwood Park, was identified as a suspect in the thefts and was arrested on Nov. 18 by Detective Lucas Doney, Ackermann said. The chief said that Young-Davis was employed by the restaurant at the time of the thefts, which totalled $790.

Young-Davis was charged with two counts of theft, processed at police headquarters and released on her own recognizance pending a court appearance.
