MESA, Ariz. — A motorcyclist was taken to the hospital on Monday after being hit by a bus. Before he was hit by the bus, the motorcyclist crashed into an SUV, police said.

Officers were called to the area of Loop 202 and Power Road on Monday afternoon for a reported crash involving a motorcyclist and a school bus, Mesa police said.

The motorcyclist had crashed into an SUV, causing him to be thrown from the motorcycle.

The school bus then ran over the motorcyclist's legs, according to police.

The motorcyclist was conscious and was taken to a nearby hospital with leg injuries.
