Many participated in chants or carried homemade signs, all to draw attention to who Nunn was, and what a loss this is for the community.

Son, David Simmons, and daughter, Jaida Nunn, spoke out about their father, and community support.

“We appreciate all the love in all the community, and this is just a part of my dad’s story because, I mean, he’s helped the community so much and he’s been around this place and just helped so many people, so we appreciate all the love and everyone that came out here,” Simmons stated.
