MACON, Ga. — A man has been arrested in connection to three armed robberies which all happened in the span of 16 hours, which then turned into a hostage situation, according to a press release from the Bibb County Sheriff’s Office .

The sheriff’s office says Dylan Smith has been charged with two counts of aggravated assault and two counts of armed robbery in connection to the armed robberies at Family Dollar and Lucky Food Mart, and the attempted armed robbery at Melody’s Magic Mart. He also forced a hostage situation when confronted by authorities, per the release.
