MADISON, Wis. (WMTV) - Madison police released video Monday showing the moments before a fiery crash on the Beltline that occurred one week ago, as officers continue searching for three suspects who fled the scene.

The video shows two cars racing when one vehicle hit an uninvolved car and pushed it into a semi-truck. The struck vehicle flipped into the westbound lanes and caught fire.

“It was probably one of the most violent and extensive crash scenes I’ve ever responded to,” Madison Police Officer Michael Malloy said.

Police said three people ran from one of the racing vehicles after the crash, got into another car and drove away. Officers are asking for the community’s help to identify the driver and passengers.
