Kyle Pulliam and Reese Miller scored 16 points apiece and William & Mary shot 49% from the field in a 74-63 victory over UTEP in its first game at the Jacksonville Classic on Monday.

It was the third straight win for the Tribe (5-2), which got 33 points from its bench. Ten W&M players saw action.

Chase Lowe added nine points for the Tribe, which jumped out to a 13-0 lead and led 35-23 at the half.

The Miners (3-3) trimmed their deficit to one at 50-49 on Kaseem Watson’s layup with 10:46 left, but W&M never relinquished its lead.

The Tribe will play Abilene Christian at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday to conclude the tournament.
