Conservative activist Scott Presler on Monday claimed that Republicans are abandoning New Jersey in response to Democrat Mikie Sherrill’s win in the Nov. 4 gubernatorial election.

Republicans are “fleeing New Jersey for Pennsylvania,” Presler said in a post on X . He included a screenshot from the Instagram account of a couple who had recently celebrated moving out of New Jersey “forever” to resettle in neighboring Pennsylvania.

Presler, who founded the Early Vote Action PAC , did not provide any data to support his claim of a Republican exodus from New Jersey.

“I tried to help you, New Jersey,” Presler posted on X. “Maybe all of the people fleeing NJ & NY will make Pennsylvania a red Commonwealth.”
